Gallery: The Second Hand Shop
‘Let’s just have a look, we’ll be there just for five minutes’ said my aunt. Half an hour later she comes out of Reto just having brought herself an antique wardrobe at the rock bottom price of just 130Eur.
Reto shop is run by a charity that helps addicts overcome their illness and get back on their feet. They accept all sorts of old junk, which they will happily come and collect from your home to resell in their little shop in an industrial part of town.
Most times you will find nothing of interest there and the Christian pop songs that are playing on the radio certainly don’t appeal to me but it is all for a good cause and every so often you come back home with a deal. My last deal was 30s, cherry wood (veneered) table that I use now as my computer desk and that I got for just 30Eur.
Obviously the colourful retro tack is a heaven to photograph and the staff don’t mind the camera. I’ll be back there soon.
